A non-custodial wallet for the NEAR Protocol.
Built for the open web.
Move, swap, and stake NEAR in seconds. Near Wallet keeps it fast and nearly free.

NEAR is a layer-1 designed for people, not blocks.
Launched on mainnet in October 2020. Nightshade sharding (now v2.0 with stateless validation) delivers ~1.2 second finality at sub-cent fees — across hundreds of validators.

Three steps. No middlemen.
Near Wallet creates a key pair locally in your browser via the Web Crypto API. The public key becomes your NEAR account. The private key never leaves your device.

ed25519 key pair created in your browser. Encrypted in localStorage with your password (PBKDF2 + AES-GCM).
- 02Pick a human-readable name
Claim alice.near. NEAR account names are signable, recoverable, and as readable as an email.
- 03Sign every action yourself
Each transaction is signed locally with your key. The wallet just relays the signed payload to NEAR RPC.
Interact with the actual fishki, not a brochure.
Five things NEAR does that other chains don't. Each card is a working mini-demo.
Human-readable accounts
NEAR replaces 64-character hex strings with names you can read, type, and remember.
Fees that don't kill the use case
A NEAR transfer typically clears for less than a tenth of a cent.

- Solana$0.000

One account. Two key types.
NEAR accounts can have multiple keys with different permissions — give a dApp a key that can only call stake() on one contract, never your full account.
~1.2 second finality
Nightshade 2.0 sharding finalizes blocks deterministically — no waiting for confirmations.
Pick a validator. Earn epoch rewards.
Delegate to any of 100+ pools. Rewards accrue every ~12h. Unstake takes ~52–65h.
Swaps without leaving the wallet
Powered by Ref Finance — the largest AMM on NEAR. Quotes refresh per block (~1.2s).
Your keys live on your device. End of story.
The wallet is open-source under MIT. Function-call access keys mean dApps can never touch your full account. Optional 2-of-3 multisig and Ledger support for serious holdings.
